The galvanized Keilbout is used to attach heavy objects to concrete or stone walls/ceilings. The metal plug has a conical bolt with metal parts around it. By putting on the nut, the bolt comes forward and thus pushes the metal parts apart. As a result, the Keilbout clamps in the hole.
